THE FLYING CAR FINALLY IN THE SKY

The Slovak company Klein Vision, whose flying car has been baptized “AirCar”, has just obtained its airworthiness certificate from the Transport Authority in Bratislava.

The culmination of more than a year of tests during which the car took off and landed more than 200 times for nearly a hundred hours of flight up to 2500 meters above sea level.

“AirCar certification opens the door to the mass production of highly efficient flying cars,” said Stefan Klein, chief inventor of the hybrid vehicle.

Three minutes are enough to deploy the wings and lengthen the rear part equipped with a large fin and a pusher propeller.

Equipped with a 140 hp BMW engine. Running on conventional gasoline, the Air-Car took off at a speed of 120 km/h after a run of approximately 300 meters. No question of rushing on the highway: to travel the Slovak sky, it will always have to pass through an airport runway.

In flight, the 1-ton machine reaches 170 km/h for an estimated range of 1,000 kilometers and a consumption of around 18 liters per hour.

If the Klein Vision company never ceases to praise the stability of the machine, two parachutes are included, just in case.

After landing, the wings fold over the sides of the vehicle to make it an almost classic 5.2 meter long car.

To afford it, however, you will have to pay no less than 1 million euros.
