FAILURES OF SAFETY IN

AMD PROCESSORS

The specialists identified thirteen problems in the AMD components that are the processors that equip businesses, individuals, burnouts, whether they are professionals or consumer devices.

One of the largest computer security companies would have even claimed that some microprocessors of the American AMD had major security breaches, while the industry is still struggling with the Specter and Meltdown vulnerabilities.

"A security audit of CTS Labs revealed several important security vulnerabilities (...) in AMD's latest processors, (called models) EPYC, Ryzen, Ryzen Pro and Ryzen Mobile"

AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) reported

"To be reviewing this study, which we have just received, to understand the methodology and relevance"

By allowing hackers to penetrate the systems, they will be able to "expose AMD's customers to industrial espionage," notes CTS.

CTS Labs claims that the Ryzen model, manufactured by the Taiwanese ASMedia, contains "back doors" inserted by the manufacturer that can be used by hackers.

These "back doors" are secret access routes to a computer system sometimes inserted voluntarily to facilitate remote intervention on the systems.

"Networks with computers (with components) AMD present a considerable risk , " says CTS, noting that the flaws survive the restart of computers and the reinstallation of operating systems.

This, CTS insists, makes possible "a permanent and virtually undetectable spying, buried deep in the system".

After the discovery of major flaws called Spectrum and Meltdown, affecting microprocessors and chips that run the electronic and computer systems of Intel, ARM and AMD the entire technology sector is worried and embarked on the development and the security patching to mitigate risks.

The firm EnSilo, also specialized in computer security, even considered that the revealed faults were undoubtedly worse than Specter and Meltdown, notably because of their resistance to resettlement.

AMD indicates that it makes every effort to solve the problems as soon as possible !!
