FRANCE INTER BECOMES

THE FIRST RADIO OF FRANCE

For several months, the race to the podium was getting tighter.

Finally, France Inter managed to overtake RTL and became the most listened to radio in France, from January to March 2019, according to figures published by Médiamétrie this Thursday, April 18th.

The public station is the lion's share with 6.34 million listeners each day, a cumulative audience of 11.7%.

This great news has delighted the journalists of France Inter like Léa Salamé or Augustin Trapenard.

RTL consoles itself with a second place and 11.3% of audiences but in two years, the Lagardère group's radio has lost more than a million listeners tired of the incessant changes of "matinaliers" (three in two years with Thomas Sotto, then Patrick Cohen and finally Nikos Aliagas).

NRJ keeps his third place.

France Culture continues its strong growth, winning between January and March 2019, 211,000 listeners to reach 2.8% audience.
